Cabin Safety
Cabin safety is one of the key areas where AirScript can provide you with support and assistance and our vast experience with airline, corporate and private operations can provide the difference between merely meeting the rules and having a safe and efficient operation in the cabin of your aircraft.
Whilst the requirements for larger aircraft are well-defined, effective cabin safety for smaller aircraft is often
neglected because regulations do not require trained cabin crew where the number of seats is small and the NTSB has made recommendations about enhancing cabin safety following accidents involving small aircraft. The JAA and EASA require that any person in the cabin who is allocated safety-related duties, or who may be perceived by a passenger as carrying out the duties of cabin crew, must be trained in accordance with JAR-OPS Subpart O. So, whether you have just a single person looking after the passengers on a corporate aircraft or you are operating a B747, the requirements for procedures and training are pretty much the same. AirScript can provide you with expertise, assistance and support whatever the size of aircraft or scale of operation.
The requirements for the cabin safety manual and cabin crew training manual are quite prescriptive and AirScript can help you to satisfy your regulatory authority by providing you with a
manual tailored to your style of operation and specific to the aircraft you operate.
For all sizes of aircraft, AirScript’s cabin safety specialists can advise you on what cabin safety equipment you need to meet current regulatory requirements, how best to deploy it in the aircraft and what the most effective procedures are for its use. For the smaller aircraft, we can also advise you on general cabin safety procedures such as passenger handling issues and the stowage of baggage – never easy in a small aircraft.
For those aircraft where cabin crew are not carried, AirScript can devise suitable cabin safety procedures for use by the flight crew in both normal and abnormal situations. This is often a neglected area and AirScript has assisted a number of high profile clients in enhancing the safety of their passengers.
AirScript can also support and assist larger airline operations. Our cabin safety specialists have extensive experience with both start-up and expanding operations in devising and implementing every facet of cabin safety requirements. Whatever the challenge, AirScript can help.
